At least five people were killed in an alleged attack by Maoist militants in India.
Hindustan Times reports that four civilians and a soldier were killed when a suspected militant group blew up a bus with an improvised explosive device (IED) in Chhattisgarh.
The incident came a day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi visit the state to take part in campaigning for local elections.
This is the second alleged Maoist attack in 10 days. A cameraperson from India’s national broadcaster was killed along with two policemen in an ambush whilst heading for reporting on a new polling booth.
