At least five people have been killed after a bus plunged into a canal in India.
The Hindustan Times reports that the Kolkata-bound passenger vehicle crashed in the Hoogly district of West Bengal. 22 other people were injured.
It is believed the bus was overcrowded and police say an investigation is underway to ascertain whether speeding may have been the cause of the tragedy.
