At least five people have been killed in floods caused by monsoon rains in Mumbai.
It is believed two toddlers are amongst the dead, as the financial capital of Indian was brought to stand still.
Businesses and schools were shut as water levels reached waist height on the roads.
Tens of thousands of people were left stranded as trains and flights were suspended.
Local reports say the situation has improved but more rain is forecast.
The rains in Mumbai follow devastating floods across a swathe of South Asia, which have killed more than 1,200.
