Foreign cricketeers returning to Pakistan

Pakistan is hosting a large scale international cricket event for the first time in 8 years on home soil.

Security has been stepped up as Lahore welcomes a World XI for a three-match T20 series against Pakistan beginning today, 12 September.

After an attack on the Sri Lankan team in March 2009 international teams stopped visiting Pakistan.

A tour by the Zimbabwean team in 2015 was marred by a bomb blast near to the Lahore Stadium.

The visiting World XI features players from seven different countries. Two more matches will be played on Wednesday and Friday.
