At least five people have been killed after a footbridge collapsed in Mumbai.
Around 34 others were injured when a portion of the bridge fell on Thursday evening (14 March) near Chhatrapati Shivaji railway station.
Local news sources report that the incident occurred during rush hour and motor vehicles were passing underneath when the collapse took place.
A state minister said the bridge was not considered dilapidated but some minor repairs were to be conducted. The minister added that an inquiry will be launched.
