Four police officers were killed during an attack in Indian-administered Kashmir.
Reports say the policemen were escorting a deputy superintendent of police when militants fired at them from an orchard near a fruit market in Bongam.
The assailants then took firearms from the victims.
The incident came just hours after security forces killed Altaf Ahmad Dar, a top commander of the Hizbul Mujahedeen militant group.
