A self-styled Indian guru has been sentenced to life in prison for multiple murders.
Rampal and 14 others were convicted at a court in Haryana state last week and sentenced today (16 October).
Four women and an 18-month-old baby were suffocated to death during a standoff with police and the guru’s supporters in 2014.
Rampal was also found guilty of another murder and will be sentenced in that case on Wednesday.
