An Indian Dalit man was killed for allegedly watching a Hindu celebration.
It is believed the 21-year-old was beaten to death by a group of men in the western Indian state of Gujarat.
Reports claim the victim, identified as Jayesh Solanki, was watching a performance of Garba – a traditional Hindu dance – when he was approached and questioned by a group of men who then took him away and beat him.
Eight men have been arrested and police have said they have also provided security to Mr Solanki's family who fear they might be attacked by upper caste men for pursing a case against the accused.
