A man from India was beaten to death over an alleged attempted rape.
A 35-year-old, identified as Rajen Kura, was lynched by a mob in the Sonitpur district of Assam state after he allegedly tried to rape a teacher.
According to local sources the teacher’s cries for help alerted people nearby and around 50 villagers attended the scene, attacking Kura with sticks.
No one has yet been arrested.
