Indian man in Pakistan for ‘love’ freed after six years

    An Indian man who claims he travelled to Pakistan for love has been freed after being held for six years on spying charges.

    Hamid Ansari’s supporters maintain he entered Pakistan to pursue a woman he met online. He was found with a fake Pakistani identity card by authorities and convicted of spying.

    After being freed, Ansari was greeted at India's Wagah border by his family and government officials.
