An investigation has been launched against 11 police officers in Pakistan over the killing of a man in an alleged staged encounter.
It is claimed by relatives of the victim that a man, identified as Asif from Gujranwala, had travelled to Faisalabad to pick up medicine.
Asif’s mother alleges he was a passenger on a motorcycle when he was shot at by officers when the vehicle failed to stop.
She has accused the officers of targeting her son intentionally because he had contracted court marriage with the daughter of a deputy superintendent of police.
