Police in Karachi say they have arrested a man they allege being the leader of a rickshaw gang that has been targeting women.
Dawn News reports the man was injured in an exchange of gun fire with authorities and was taken into custody with an accomplice.
Cash, dozens of valuable women's handbags and jewellery worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were recovered from the duo.
It is believed over 200 women have been victims of the group of thieves, who used a motorcycle and a rickshaw to carry out the attacks.
