The Supreme Court in India has upheld an inter-religious marriage, which has been at the centre of a high-profile case.
Hadiya Jahan was born into a Hindu family but converted to Islam and married a Muslim man.
Her family alleged she was brainwashed into the marriage and attempted to have it annulled at a lower court.
Hadiya has always maintained she married out of her own free will.
She had been kept under her father’s custody, but the ruling now means she may now live with her husband.
