Man arrested for murder

The Malwani Mumbai police have confirmed they have arrested a 30 year old man for stabbing his roommate on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred around 11.30pm at the Budh Nagar area of Mumbai West when allegedly a fight broke between the victim, 20 year old Ajay Bansal and the suspect Venkatesh Kannupalan.

Kannupalan stabbed Ajay repeatedly in the chest who was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Kannupalan was caught attempting to flee from the scene after an the eye-witness called the police.

Local police are unclear to the motives behind the murder as investigations are on going.
