Man found hanging and girlfriend bludgeoned to death in Chennai

A 25-year-old man was discovered hanging from a tree after his girlfriend was found bludgeoned to death in Chennai on Friday night (31.03.17).

John Mathews from Semmanchery was found dead in Mamallapuram by police and 20-year-old Jennifer Pushpa’s body was concealed amongst a clump of trees close by. A blood-stained hammer was located near to the scene.

It is believed that the two had been friends since childhood but Jennifer’s parents were unhappy about their relationship. It is thought that Mathews killed Jennifer before taking his own life.
