A man who was sleeping on a footpath in India was crushed to death by a car driven by an allegedly intoxicated student.
The suspect, a 19-year-old female, is accused of driving drunk on the outskirts of the city of Hyderabad after leaving a party.
Ashok Kumar, a 48-year-old cobbler who was sleeping in front of his shop, was seriously injured and died in transit to hospital.
A case of causing death by negligence has been registered and an investigation is ongoing.
