A marriage between a 40-year-old man and a minor in Pakistan was halted by authorities.
Police raided a marriage ceremony in Sindh's Badin district on Sunday, 12 November, arresting the would-be groom, the officiator of the marriage and the girl's father.
A 10-year-old girl was taken away from the scene.
According to police, the girl's parents had sold their daughter to Abdul Khaliq Pasayo. It is believed the girl had been bought for his second marriage.
