Murder accused hacked to death in Hyderabad

A man who was the main accused in a murder trial in India was hacked to death in broad daylight on a busy Hyderabad street.

Footage has circulated online of the victim, identified as J Ramesh, being attacked underneath a flyover after reportedly leaving court.

He had been standing trial over the death of a grocery worker, Mahesh Goud, in December.

The two accused in the killing of Ramesh are suspected of being the father and uncle of Mr Goud. It is believed they surrendered to police following the incident.
