Police in India have arrested nine people for allegedly thrashing 36 schoolgirls who resisted sexual assault.
Hindustan Times reports that a mob in Bihar’s Supaul district were angry after the girls beat four boys who they accused of sexually harassing them.
It is believed parents of the boys were part of the mob that attacked the girls when they were playing in a ground close to their residential school.
