Police in Dhaka have arrested 97 people in connection with protests over road safety in the Bangladesh capital.
Protesters created blockades across the city for eight days after two students were killed on Sunday 29 July when a bus ploughed into a group of people on Airport Road.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) claim all those arrested had helped generate rumours on social media, thereby instigating the protests.
