More deaths due to the Nipah virus have been confirmed in India.
Two more people have died in the southern state of Kerala, taking the death toll now to 16.
An official said they initially showed signs of recovery whilst at hospital but then their condition quickly deteriorated.
Nipah is an infection which can be transmitted to humans from animals, with fruit bats thought to be the natural host of the virus.
It is "top of the list" of 10 priority diseases that the World Health Organisation has identified as potentials for the next major outbreak.
