One killed and 39 injured in Lahore bomb blast

At least one person was killed in an explosion in Lahore.

39 others were injured when a truck bomb detonated on the Bund Road last night, 7 August.

A nearby building was damaged and several cars destroyed in the blast, which came around two weeks after a terror attack in the city which left 26 people dead.

It has been alleged that the truck, loaded with fruit, had been parked at the Bund Road for at least three days. It is claimed that residents reported the vehicle to police but no action was taken.
