One person has been arrested as the death toll from a building collapse in Mumbai has risen to 17.
A four-storey residential building collapsed yesterday, 25 July, in the Ghatkopar area of the city.
Reports say 28 survivors have been pulled out from the debris.
Local sources claim the ground floor was being used as a nursing home but was empty at the time.
Authorities launched an investigation and have arrested the owner of the ground floor property. An official told the BBC the man was taken into custody for allegedly making "structural changes to the building while he was getting the nursing home renovated."
It remains unclear whether there are any more people stuck under the rubble.
