The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, has escaped conviction during a corruption ruling.
Mr Sharif and his family’s business dealings were called into question following the leak of the Panama Papers in 2015, which exposed the use of offshore banking by a multitude of clients, some believed to be directly linked to positions of power across the world.
The Prime Minister denied any wrongdoing and asserted that the claims were politically motivated.
Pakistan’s Supreme Court ruled that there was insufficient evidence to remove Mr Sharif from office.
