A policeman in Karachi has been held in connection with the death of a seven-year-old by a stray bullet.
The girl was playing in her school's playground in Karachi when a bullet pierced her shoulder. She was taken to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
An investigation found the bullet issued from a pistol licensed to a police officer who lives nearby to the school.
Reports say the officer may have been cleaning the weapon when it accidentally fired.
The incident comes less than two months after 10-year-old Amal Umer lost her life after being hit by a stray bullet during an alleged shootout in Karachi between police and suspected criminals.
