Pakistan has officially rejected claims by authorities in Afghanistan that the country is implicated in an attack in the Afghan city of Kandahar.
Dawn News reports that three top Afghan officials were killed when their own guards opened fire on them.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani then alleged the attack was planned in Pakistan and so the criminals should be sought there and brought to justice.
The Pakistan foreign office has rejected the allegations as “baseless and unfounded”. In a statement, the office claimed there was “no hard evidence” to substantiate the claims.
