Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan began work on the Kartarpur Corridor, a new border crossing that will allow Indian Sikh’s to travel to a pilgrimage site.
Mr Khan took part in a ground-breaking ceremony at the site in the Narowal district. A number of Sikh leaders were in attendance, along with ministers from the Indian government.
The new crossing will allow Indian Sikhs access to the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur - one of the religion’s holiest shrines.
