A police razakar was killed in a firearms incident in Karachi.
Another was injured in the attack in the Northern Bypass area of the city today, 17 August.
The two officers were standing next to a police hut near to the road when unidentified gunmen opened fire on them.
They were both rushed to hospital but one of them succumbed to his injuries. The other man is said to be in a serious condition.
The incident is the latest in a series of targeted attacks on police personnel in recent months.
