    Policeman killed and fifteen others injured in grenade attack, Srinagar

    A policeman has been killed and fifteen other security workers have been injured following a grenade attack yesterday (02.03.2017) in Nowhatta, an area of the city of Srinagar.

    It is reported that terrorists threw a grenade into a group of police at around 7.00pm. The incident occurred just a few hours after the inauguration of India’s longest tunnel by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in Srinagar.

    The deceased has been named Shamin Ahmed, a local police constable. A search operation is now underway to apprehend the suspects.
