Protests have been staged in Pakistan over the alleged beating of a doctor by military personnel.
Dr Abdul Hameed was held for several hours on Saturday 17 March in the Bajaur tribal region and was seen with visible signs of assault when released.
Reports say the attack took place when the doctor asked two army personnel to wait whilst he finished with a different patient.
Medics went on strike, with protesters accusing the army of “state hooliganism”.
The strike was called off after concessions were made, including exempting doctors from being stopped at military checkpoints.
