A group of rescuers were attacked in India after being accused of arriving late to a scene in which four people were killed.
A bus allegedly carrying 58 passengers crashed through a bridge and into a river in the Murshidabad district of the eastern state of West Bengal.
It is reported that a crowd overturned a police vehicle and set fire to two of them. It is claimed that officers were also pelted with stones.
The police retaliated by using tear gas to disperse the mob.
Two officials from the fire brigade and one member of police were reportedly injured in the clashes.
