Seven police officers in Karachi have been suspended over alleged ties with drug suppliers.
An investigation was launched after 19-year-old Bilal Khan was shot dead in crossfire during a police raid on suspected drug peddlers in the Gadap area.
Residents staged a sit-in on a local highway over the death, demanding an inquiry.
A police official has now claimed that as a result of the inquiry it was found seven officers had established links with peddlers who supplied drugs from factories in the area.
