Seven police officers who were kidnapped in Pakistan have been rescued.
The officers were taken in the city of Rajanpur by a group of dacoits, who took them to a hideout near to the Indus River on Sunday, 20 August.
They were recovered following a successful operation yesterday, Monday 21 August.
Officials claim the dacoits evaded capture by swimming across the river under the cover of darkness during the night-time raid.
The kidnap victims were found unharmed but tied to trees.
It is believed the seven officers were kidnapped whilst on a boat patrol of the area.
