At least seven people were killed in a blast that caused a house to collapse in Bangalore.
Local reports say a suspected gas cylinder explosion reduced a two-storey building to rubble in the Ejipura area of the city yesterday morning, 16 October.
It is believed the building was rented out to four families.
Formal identification of all the deceased is yet to take place and sources say two children were pulled from the wreckage alive but with injuries.
A number of firefighters who attended the scene also required treatment to injuries as a wall collapsed during rescue operations.
