Seven people have reportedly been killed in a gun battle in Indian-administered Kashmir.
The clash occurred in Pulwama district, where more than 40 Indian paramilitary police were killed in a suicide attack on Thursday, raising tensions between nuclear-armed India and Pakistan.
Four Indian soldiers, a civilian and two alleged militants were killed as Indian troops searched for suspects connected to the suicide attack, which was claimed by the Jaish-e-Mohammad group.
Meanwhile Pakistan recalled its ambassador for consultations, after India recalled its top diplomat from its neighbour.
