At least 73 people have been killed in monsoon rains hitting the southern Indian state of Kerala.
Severe flooding has caused 85,000 people to be displaced. Authorities say most deaths were as a result of being crushed under debris by landslides.
One of India’s busiest airports, the Cochin International Airport, has been forced to close due to a flooded runway.
Rescue operations are underway and the nation’s meteorological department has issued a “red alert” in the state.
