Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam and her husband Captain Mohammad Safdar, have had their appeals against a corruption case postponed until after Pakistan’s general election.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to 10 years in prison for holding assets beyond known sources of income. His daughter, Maryam, was handed a seven-year sentence for aiding and abetting him, while Safdar was sentenced to a year's imprisonment.
Nawaz and Maryam travelled from London last week and were arrested at the airport upon their arrival in Lahore.
Seven separate appeals filed by the three convicts' lawyers have been put off by the Islamabad High Court until after the election on 25 July.
