A student at a university in Varanasi in Northern India set himself on fire and threw himself off a campus building.
Dara Raju, 19-years-old and from Nellore in Andhra, was a second-year student in the mining engineering department at the Indian Institute of Technology college. It is believed he may have been suffering from depression and was underperforming in his studies.
The police did not find a suicide note but through initial investigations were made aware of his mental condition at the time.
