A paramilitary camp in the Kashmir region was targeted in a suicide attack.
An Indian soldier and three militants were killed in the attack, near to the international airport just outside the city of Srinagar.
It has been reported that a gun battle took place at the camp for around eight hours, leaving several others injured.
Flight operations were suspended this morning, 3 October, but have since been resumed.
