An inquiry has been ordered in Karachi after a teenager was killed during an exchange of gunfire between police and alleged drug dealers.
Local reports claim police arrested a man in the Orangi Town area of the city on suspicion of drugs-related offences but came under fire as they attempted to remove him.
A 14-year-old, identified as Rehan, was killed in the crossfire, as he was hit in the chest.
The death led to protests outside of the local police station leading to authorities suspending the station house officer and opening a murder case against a policeman and a civilian.
