Both Pakistan and India have warned against further escalation as tensions continue to rise between the neighbours.
Pakistan said it shot down two Indian Air Force jets and captured a pilot yesterday (27 February). Pakistan’s Information Ministry shared a video online of a blindfolded man, claimed to be the captured pilot.
India confirmed it has lost a jet and demanded the pilot’s immediate and safe return.
In a televised address, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan offered India talks over terrorism and warned against further escalation, saying the two sides could not afford a miscalculation.
Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj said her country would act "with responsibility and restraint".
