More than 18,000 Rohingya Muslims have fled violence from Myanmar into neighbouring Bangladesh.
Thousands of refugees have poured across the border from Myanmar’s Rohine state in less than a week.
Military action has escalated in the area following an attack by Rohingya militants on 30 police posts on Friday, 25 August.
Aid workers receiving refugees claim around a dozen of the new arrivals have required treatment for gunshot wounds.
It is believed thousands more are waiting at the border to gain entry.
