At least three doctors were arrested during clashes with police in Pakistan during a protest yesterday, 13 June.
Young doctors were protesting at the Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar, against amendments to medical teaching institutes.
It is believed the doctors were also striking against non-payment of allowances.
According to local sources, the protesters were attempting to block the emergency suite to the complex when security officers baton charged them and apprehended three doctors.
The doctors have reportedly continued their protest despite the detention of colleagues.
