Three dead following Dhaka fire in early hours of Thursday morning

    Three people, including a child, have died after a fire broke out in a building in Dhaka on Thursday morning.

    The deceased were identified as 45-year-old Abdul Kader, 17-year-old Afrin Jannat, and 5-year-old AKM Rushdi.

    The fire started in the five-storey building at around 4:30am. Eight fire crews attended the incident at 4:40am and brought the blaze under control within 20 minutes.

    According to reports from Dhaka Medical College Hospital, two of the victims died as a result of burn injuries, while the other died due to smoke inhalation.

    Six others also reportedly sustained injuries in the blaze.
