Three factory workers in Karachi have died after falling into a pit of toxic waste.
The incident took place at a site that produces chicken feed in the Ibrahim Hyderi area on Monday 8 April.
Dawn News reports that one of the labourers fell into the pit and two others went in to save him. However, they all fell unconscious and died after inhaling toxic fumes.
The factory owner was detained by police to ascertain if negligence was to blame.
