Three people were killed and four arrested during counter-terrorism raids in Karachi.
The Counter-Terrorism Department said that the operation has foiled a terror bid due to be carried out by the apprehended individuals.
According to the CTD, three raids were carried out as a result of a rise in terrorist activities in the city over the past month.
One Kalashnikov, five pistols, and a home-made bomb were recovered from the possession of the suspected terrorists.
Local sources say the CTD concluded that one group was responsible for attacks on policemen and retired law enforcement personnel.
They claim the suspects arrested in the raid have admitted to killing a police sub-inspector in 2015.
