Three men were rescued from drowning on a Mumbai beach yesterday morning, 10 May.
A 25-year-old lifeguard, affiliated with the Mumbai Fire Brigade, rescued the three men who were on the verge of drowning at Aksa beach.
The lifeguard spotted three people who were on a rock in the distance and shouting for help.
Allegedly the men had been calling for help for some time before their rescuer swam out to them.
The three men were brought out from the water almost 20 minutes later. All three are locals from the Malwani area.
They told the lifeguard that they went to sit on the rock early in the morning whilst there was a low tide and only noticed when it was too late that the water had surrounded them on all sides.
