Police in Pakistan claim a notorious Karachi gangster has been killed in a shootout.
Ghaffar Zikri and one of his accomplices, Chhota Zahid, were killed in an encounter with police in the Lyari area.
Reports say Zikri's three-year-old son was killed and two police officers injured in the crossfire.
Ghaffar has been named among the most dangerous criminals of Karachi and connected to dozens of cases, including the targeted killing of police officials and drug distribution.
Officials said several weapons, including rockets, two SMGs, a hand grenade and more than 200 rounds of ammunition were recovered from the scene.
