Police in Pakistan have arrested two people after they were accused of selling members of the transgender community.
Dawn News reports that two people, also thought to be transgender, attempted to sell a transgender woman in the Jhelum district of Punjab.
She claims that she only found out about the transaction through a video sent to a WhatsApp group with the accused signing a fake stamp paper with her name on.
According to the victim, the suspects are members of a group involved in the trading of several transgender people who were residents of Jhelum.
She urged the police to register a case against the group and take action to ensure the protection of the transgender community.
