Police are investigating two gang rapes in the northern Indian state of Haryana.
Police say a 23-year-old woman was raped and murdered last week in Rohtak district. After taking days to find the body, a post mortem showed that her "skull was broken".
Police have reported that she was drugged before the attack.
Two suspects have been arrested and have confessed to the crime.
On Saturday, 13 May, a 22-year-old was gang-raped in a moving car in the Delhi suburb of Gurgaon.
Some reports say the victim was then thrown out of the car onto the road.
No arrests have yet been made.
The brutal rapes have shocked the country, which is struggling to effectively deal with the issue.
The problem is high on India’s conscience after the 2012 gang rape and murder of a student on a Delhi bus.
However, brutal sexual attacks continue to be reported across the country.
